When i first came to Bologna, Italy in the year 2002 i immediately noticed the hight number of surveillance cameras in the streets, even thou Bologna is a rather save city.

For some reason nobody seemed to notice them.

So i decided to draw attention on the cameras using stencil technique. I marked about 60 cameras with a little message i placed underneath:

“Achtung! Sie werden überwacht!” (Attention! You are beeing filmed”)

On my latest trip to bologna in 2010 i noticed that the situation has not changed, there were still thousands of cameras and nobody payed attention to them …

so i decided to mark the cameras again but this time i encoded my message …
